Since summer is coming soon, all beauty brands are becoming more aware of consumer behaviours from lightweight packaging, more travel/mini-sized products and specific ingredients that will catch our eye to buy. I’ve noticed sooo many beauty companies have began to include watermelon into their products, which instantly makes us [consumers] think of summer! From research, watermelon is proven to be an amazing ingredient for anti-aging skin properties and includes vitamins A & C. We complied a list [drugstore/high-end] skincare products that included watermelon ingredients, let us know some of your fav watermelon products below!
1. Glow Recipe | Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask ($59)

Does this need a further introduction? Glow Recipe’s infamous “Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask” is probably the product when it comes to thinking of watermelon skincare. I absolutely love this mask! Not only is it the perfect pink colour, but it smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling super dewy + hydrated! Refinery29 made a YouTube video on “How This Popular K-Beauty Product is Made” by visiting the Glow Recipe factory and capturing the action on how real watermelons are actually being used for this mask! I also have Glow Recipe’s “Watermelon Pink Juice Oil-Free Moisturizer” ($50); which is another amazing Glow Recipe watermelon product – super hydrating and lightweight.
2. Ciaté London | Watermelon Burst Hydrating Eye Patches ($30)

How can we just talk about how adorable these eye patches are?!?! Although the reviews on Sephora are mediocre, these Ciaté London eye patches are made to reduce the fine lines under the eyes and increase brightening the eye area from the watermelon extract. I tend to purchase all my eye patches from either Amazon or cheaper alternatives, so these Ciaté London “Watermelon Burst Hydrating Eye Patches” are a splurge at $30 for only six pairs.
3. Wet n’ Wild | Perfect Pout Lip Scrub ($5.79)

For $6, this lip scrub is amazing and gets the job done! Wet n’ Wild has their own watermelon twist with this “Perfect Pout Lip Scrub”! Comes in two flavours: watermelon or orange – which both nourish and gently exfoliate lips. I even found some other watermelon lip scrubs alternatives from Sephora’s Sephora Collection “Watermelon Lip Balm & Scrub” ($10) and St.Ives “Juicy Watermelon Lip Scrub” at Target ($4.99 USD).
4. St Ives | Hydrating Watermelon Daily Cleanser ($8.99)

St Ives is really jumping onto this watermelon skincare trend too! I’ve noticed that they also released two more everyday skincare products: the “Hydrating Watermelon Daily Cleanser” ($8.99) and “Glowing Watermelon Oil-Free Daily Moisturizer” ($8.99) – both with 100+ reviews positive reviews on Shoppers Drug Mart; all stating the hydrating benefits and amazing smell from both of these St Ives watermelon products. For under $10, you really can’t beat basic drugstore brands!
5. Sephora Collection | Watermelon After-Sun Mask ($4)

Sephora Collection is really showing up on the watermelon game with tonssss of skincare products using watermelon ingredients. On sale right now at Sephora, the “Watermelon After-Sun Mask” ($4) is a two-part mask [used for the face + neck] to instantly soothe sun-exposed skin! With tons of amazing reviews stating the instant hydration, refreshed skin-feeling, and helps with cooling down exposed sun-burnt skin. With watermelon ingredients exciting every skincare-lover, Sephora Collection also released “Watermelon Cleansing & Exfoliating Wipes” ($10) and “Watermelon Hand Balm & Scrub” ($7).
6. Milk Makeup | Watermelon Brightening Serum ($48)

We love an easy, on-the-go skincare application and with this Milk Makeup serum stick, it does exactly that. Milk Makeup’s “Watermelon Brightening Serum” ($48) is probably the first serum stick that I have come across, with stating claims of improving fine lines, uneven skin tones, and overall brightening of the skin. Milk Makeup also has a “Watermelon Brightening Face Mask” ($34) – which includes the watermelon fruit extract and comes in stick form for an easier mask application.
