TikTok has taken the internet by storm!! A new mobile application, TikTok, has tons of creators making short videos of almost anything imaginable – from challenges, fun dances, to even tips/tricks for your everyday life; there is so much continuous content that it’s hard not to watch! I rallied up the most “viral” and hyped up beauty products that almost everyone on TikTok are using – let us know which ones you’ve tried!
1. e.l.f. Cosmetics | Lip Exfoliator ($4)
The infamous “Lip Exfoliator” from e.l.f. Cosmetics is probably the most hyped beauty product on TikTok! I’ve seen tons of videos on this specific lip scrub in “Brown Sugar” with tons of amazing reviews that it really does scrub those lips to make them smooth and clean!
2. The Ordinary | AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution ($7.20)
I am obsessed with The Ordinary skincare products! I have used tons of their products in the past, but this definitely took the cake on the most popular item from the brand. The infamous “vampire” facial peeling mask that TikTok fans are calling it game changing and leaves your skin a baby smooth finish. I personally have not used it myself (as it is practically sold out everywhere… but you can find it on other retailers like Amazon or Sephora if your lucky).
3. Essence Cosmetics | Kiss the Black Sheep Lipstick ($3.99)
Another TikTok beauty fav is the “Kiss the…Lipstick” from Essence Cosmetics, specifically the “Black Sheep” shade that appears as a black lip product but is in fact… colour changing! I am usually not a believer is “mood changing” or “colour changing” products, but this definitely took me by surprise! Great reviews on the colour transition [as it does not show up black at all] and appears a super natural sheen lip colour. I was able to find this lipstick avaliable at Shoppers Drug Mart!
4. e.l.f. Cosmetics | Poreless Putty Primer ($8)
I’ve heard sooo many great reviews on the “Poreless Putty Primer” from e.l.f Cosmetics – with makeup lovers comparing this under $10 primer to Tatcha’s “Silk Canvas Protective Primer” ($70)! I already have the Tatcha primer, and I absolutely love it, excited to hear there is more dupes for luxurious makeup products! With this e.l.f. primer, it leaves your skin looking smooth and is a great base to start off any makeup look.
5. Truly Beauty | Unicorn Fruit Body Butter ($20)
Lastly, who doesn’t love rainbows and unicorns?!?! Truly Beauty definitely took their body butters on trend by making it a completely rainbow colour – alongside with being super hydrating and made with vegan ingredients (eg acai, chia, and matcha)! Although, I can’t seem to find any Canadian retailers (sigh), you can purchase this body butter on Ulta Global for $28.17.
